c062d44311 ARM: davinci: cpuidle: fix wrong enter function
The davinci_enter_idle is called from the cpuidle with the
cpuidle_wrap_enter function. This one does the time compution
for entering and exiting the idle function and then we call
again cpuidle_wrap_enter for cpu_do_idle. This is wrong, we
are calling recursively cpuidle_wrap_enter for nothing and
furthermore reenabling the local irq.

Remove this and replace it by the cpu_do_idle function.

069552777a ARM: davinci: edma: fix dmaengine induced null pointer dereference on da830
This adds additional error checking to the private edma api implementation
to catch the case where the edma_alloc_slot() has an invalid controller
parameter. The edma dmaengine wrapper driver relies on this condition
being handled in order to avoid setting up a second edma dmaengine
instance on DA830.

Verfied using a DA850 with the second EDMA controller platform instance
removed to simulate a DA830 which only has a single EDMA controller.

b274776c54 arm-soc: cleanups
A large number of cleanups, all over the platforms. This is dominated
largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the
others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems.
The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point
where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify
the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree
as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically
touch every single platform in the process.

We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here,
with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being
"multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose
their headers to architecture independent code any more.

It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup.
The overall reduction in total code lines is mostly the result of
 removing broken and obsolete code.

19c7c0d81a ARM: davinci: da850 DT: add support for machine reboot
Update the da8xx_restart() function to support machine reboot
when booting using DT. Have the function search for the watchdog
platform device instead of always using "da8xx_wdt_device" which
is never registered in DT case.

While at it, also make da8xx_wdt_device static since there is no need
for it to be globally visible.

Tested machine reboot with both DT and non-DT boot on DA850 EVM.

Introduce an IP reset API for use on DaVinci SoC.

There is no existing "reset" framework support for SoC devices.
The remoteproc driver needs explicit control of the DSP's reset line.

This private API will disappear with DT migration. Some discussion

0273612cb8 ARM: davinci: da8xx_register_spi() should not register SPI board info
Without this patch, da8xx_register_spi() registers the SPI board info,
the SPI controller, and sets its number of chipselect to the size of the
static spi_board_info array. This is bad because a SPI board info may
declare devices for different SPI buses, and because other code can also
call spi_register_board_info() (e.g. a daughter board might provide
additional SPI devices).

This patch removes the spi_register_board_info() call from
da8xx_register_spi(), renames this last one to da8xx_register_spi_bus()
to be more explicit, takes the number of chipselect as a function
parameter, and updates the impacted board-da8{3,5}0-evm.c, and
board-mityomapl138.c files accordingly. It also sets the SPI platform
data static, as it doesn't need to be exported.

6bb27d7349 ARM: delete struct sys_timer
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct,
and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization
function itself.

This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without
having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into
include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init()
function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning
the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html

caff80c35f [media] davinci: vpbe: pass different platform names to handle different ip's
The vpbe driver can handle different platforms DM644X, DM36X and
DM355. To differentiate between this platforms venc_type/vpbe_type
was passed as part of platform data which was incorrect. The correct
way to differentiate to handle this case is by passing different
platform names.
This patch creates platform_device_id[] array supporting different
platforms and assigns id_table to the platform driver, and finally
in the probe gets the actual device by using platform_get_device_id()
and gets the appropriate driver data for that platform.
Taking this approach will also make the DT transition easier.

Pull ARM SoC fixes from Olof Johansson:
"This is a batch of fixes for arm-soc platforms, most of it is for OMAP
but there are others too (i.MX, Tegra, ep93xx). Fixes warnings, some
broken platforms and drivers, etc. A bit all over the map really."

There was some concern about commit 68136b10 ("RM: sunxi: Change device
tree naming scheme for sunxi"), but Tony says:
"Looks like that's trivial to fix as needed, no need to rebuild the
  branch to fix that AFAIK.

The fix can be done once Olof is available online again.

Linus, I suggest that you go ahead and pull this if there are no other
  issues with this branch."

rtc-omap driver is now capable of handling kicker mechanism, hence remove
kicker handling at platform level, instead provide proper device name so

db5b0ae007 ARM: arm-soc: device tree conversions and enablement
Continued device tree conversion and enablement across a number of
platforms; Kirkwood, tegra, i.MX, Exynos, zynq and a couple of other

seen pinctrl-via-devicetree conversions for simpler multiplatform. Tegra
is adding data for new devices/drivers, and Exynos has a bunch of new
bindings and devices added as well.

d027db132b ARM: arm-soc: SoC updates for 3.8
This contains the bulk of new SoC development for this merge window.

Two new platforms have been added, the sunxi platforms (Allwinner A1x
SoCs) by Maxime Ripard, and a generic Broadcom platform for a new
series of ARMv7 platforms from them, where the hope is that we can
keep the platform code generic enough to have them all share one mach
directory. The new Broadcom platform is contributed by Christian Daudt.

Highbank has grown support for Calxeda's next generation of hardware,
 ECX-2000.

clps711x has seen a lot of cleanup from Alexander Shiyan, and he's also
taken on maintainership of the platform.

Beyond this there has been a bunch of work from a number of people on
converting more platforms to IRQ domains, pinctrl conversion, cleanup
and general feature enablement across most of the active platforms.

Pull ARM SoC updates from Olof Johansson:
"This contains the bulk of new SoC development for this merge window.

Two new platforms have been added, the sunxi platforms (Allwinner A1x
SoCs) by Maxime Ripard, and a generic Broadcom platform for a new
series of ARMv7 platforms from them, where the hope is that we can
keep the platform code generic enough to have them all share one mach
directory. The new Broadcom platform is contributed by Christian
  Daudt.

Highbank has grown support for Calxeda's next generation of hardware,
  ECX-2000.

clps711x has seen a lot of cleanup from Alexander Shiyan, and he's
also taken on maintainership of the platform.

Beyond this there has been a bunch of work from a number of people on
converting more platforms to IRQ domains, pinctrl conversion, cleanup
and general feature enablement across most of the active platforms."

Fix up trivial conflicts as per Olof.
